WHY CERAMIC COATINGS?

A ceramic coating is a great way to help maintain any vehicle you own. Ceramic coatings are well on their way to completely replacing the more traditionally used car wax. A ceramic coating will last years rather than the few-month lifetime of traditional wax. Additionally, a ceramic coating will give your paint an extra layer of protection against light scratching, bird droppings and UV rays. At NM Auto Enhancements we use Gtechniq for coatings which offer several different types of coatings for different applications such as glass, wheels, paint, and even vinyl wraps or paint protection films.

Ceramic coatings are a chemical polymer solution that bonds to your paint creating that extra layer of protection. Once applied, they will help your car stay cleaner longer between washes and give your car an extra shine, almost a “wet” look. Furthermore, ceramic coatings have a hydrophobic property making water bead up instead of “sticking” to your paint. This property also helps prevent dirt and dust from building up on your vehicle. A coating does not eliminate needing to wash and maintain your vehicle, but does make the process much easier and extends the time between washes.
